My GE Mod #JBP65GS1AD oven recently started acting up. The bake element had a small glowing area 1/4" long even with the oven turned off. We used it a few times, shutting off the power in between uses, and the element quit working completely. I assume the element burned out but can't explain why it would glow with the oven control set to off. Is this a bad control switch? If so, how do you test it?
